Pardee Keynote Symposia
How Research is Shared at GSA Connects
Special Lectures include the GSA Presidential Address, Halbouty Lecture, Noontime Lectures, and special lectures by awardees.
Pardee Keynote Symposia are prestigious half-day or full-day events that demonstrate timely relevance to cutting-edge geoscience research or societal issues related to geoscience.
Oral Sessions bring together a series of presentations focused on a specific geoscience topic or discipline. Researchers share their work through scheduled talks, followed by opportunities for discussion and questions. Some oral sessions have companion poster sessions that include additional related research.
Lightning Talks are fast-paced, engaging, 3-minute presentations. Each talk highlights key points from the presenter’s research and is paired with a corresponding poster in the Poster Hall.
Poster Sessions feature a collection of research posters grouped by topic or discipline. Presenters are available during scheduled times to discuss their work and answer questions in a more informal, interactive setting. Some poster sessions have companion oral sessions where related research is also presented.
