Earth sciences affect human life in countless ways and represent one of the most essential branches of knowledge for understanding our planet. Geosciences are the foundation of the resources we rely on daily to sustain a functional society, nevertheless are frequently misrepresented in public communication. To address this challenge, the Earth Sciences department of the Faculty of Engineering create a science communication group, which is conformed by leaders representing each academic program, in this case we share information of the Geology Engineering and Metallurgy and Materials Engineering programs. We have developed a wide variety of didactic activities, most of them are inspire by Mexican traditional games, modified to present geological, materials and metallurgical process with concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible way, tailored to the age, needs, interests, and preferences of younger and older generations. The goal is to promote accurate and appealing knowledge while fostering curiosity and participation. With these activities, participants can gradually develop critical and analytical skills that will enable them to question, interpret, and understand the geological heritage around them through education.
