The Ordovician was a pivotal interval in Earth history, marked by major biodiversity diversification and extinction events linked to climate change. Robust palaeotemperature reconstructions are essential for understanding its climate evolution, yet reliable fossil isotope archives are scarce, while abundant bulk-carbonate oxygen isotope (δ18O) records remain challenging to interpret due to high susceptibility to diagenetic alteration. Here, we develop a transparent multi-criteria quality-control framework integrating stratigraphic, petrographic, sedimentological, and geochemical constraints to evaluate the preservation of individual isotopic proxy values. Applying this framework, we construct OrdoTemp, a curated dataset of 5,299 screened proxy values from 15,406 measurements, including bulk-carbonate and fossil δ18O (96.5%), and also a smaller subset of carbonate clumped isotope (Δ47) data (3.5%). With high temporal coverage (~60 kyr median age spacing), OrdoTemp enables high-resolution Ordovician temperature reconstruction and provides a reproducible framework for deep-time δ18O proxy synthesis.
